Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on state, federal, and international data privacy and security laws, including regulatory frameworks governing data protection and digital asset security.
  • Provide legal counsel on cybersecurity breaches, guiding clients through breach notifications, response strategies, and mitigation efforts.
  • Represent clients in regulatory defense and investigations, focusing on compliance and defense against data-related inquiries.
  • Develop and implement data privacy and security policies for clients, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with clients across various industries to protect sensitive data, intellectual property, and digital assets.
  • Stay ahead of emerging legal issues related to data protection, regulatory defense, and digital asset management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data security protocols align with current legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • JD from the University of Washington.
  • 3rd to 6th-year associate with a strong academic record and top-tier academic credentials.
  • Extensive knowledge of data security, privacy laws, and regulatory frameworks at the state, federal, and international levels.
  • Experience in regulatory defense, data breach response, and investigations.
  • Sharp, tech-driven mindset with the ability to articulate complex legal matters in a clear and polished manner.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Admitted to practice in Washington or eligible for admission.
